A Journey That Began with Rain in Zambia: Taşdemir Global's Early Years in the Field
As Taşdemir Global, we experienced our first field experience in Africa in Zambia. In 2019, when we stepped into this land, which holds immense potential beneath the surface, we learned once again that mining requires patience, resilience, and accurate analysis, not just machinery.
Zambia - Sount Africa - Tanzania , by its nature, experiences a heavy rainfall season for nearly half the year. During these periods, we experienced times when transportation became nearly impossible, the land turned into swamps, roads were closed, and logistics were disrupted. However, we embraced this process as a learning period in which we respected the field.
The Power of Geological Exploration and Accurate Analysis
During our fieldwork, our priority was to understand the terrain and establish a detailed geological structure.
After months of geological mapping, manual sample collection, and challenging field logistics, we now have hundreds of samples.
But this was only the beginning.Taşdemir Mining Flotation facility
The most critical step in mining is accurate analysis. Because even a small error in analysis can mislead multi-million dollar investments.
Therefore, we worked with two internationally recognized laboratories during the analysis process:
AHK Group – Ensured the precise measurement of the initial samples taken from the field, even at low grades.
SGS Laboratories – Provided highly accurate reports in geochemical analyses, providing the basis for our investment decisions.
The detailed data we obtained from these laboratories clarified the direction of the ore veins, enrichment zones, and reserve estimates.
A Vision in the Heart of Africa
Zambia is home not only to copper but also to strategic metals such as zinc, cobalt, nickel, and lead. With its developing infrastructure, mining-focused economic model, and investor-friendly policies, it is poised to become a mining hub of the future.
As Taşdemir Global, we not only produce; we also contribute to regional development, employment, and a sustainable mining approach.
Looking back today, this journey, which began with rain and mud, has taught us this:
“The true value lies not in the soil; it lies in the patience you show it.”
